Hiking in the High Fens

Wooden boardwalks, expansive peat landscapes, and endless views make the High Fens a unique hiking destination. For example, choose the nature trail through the Poleur Bog near Mont Rigi: an accessible 3.1 km walk with explanations about this unique environment along the way. Prefer a longer trek? Explore the marked routes around Botrange and Baraque Michel.

Hiking along the Warche

The waymarked hike 'Panorama of the Warche' takes you from the Robertville dam past Reinhardstein and the Nez de Napoléon. Expect about 5 kilometers with short, steep climbs and beautiful views over the valley.

Trail running on the ExtraTrail courses

Around Malmedy, there are four permanent marked trail running routes of 8, 18, 27, and 39 kilometers, featuring forest paths, climbs, and descents. The routes start at the Malmundarium in Malmedy; experienced runners can also start the 39 km black route from the Robertville dam. Also great for brisk hiking or Nordic Walking.
